Based in New York City One9 Media Group is an independent entertainment company founded in 2018 by Emmy-nominated Director and Executive Producer One9. The company specializes in creating original content for films and television with a greater sense of authenticity, purpose, and inspirational themes. 

The company aims to represent the voices and perspectives of radical thinking cultural innovators serving as an incubator for diverse storytellers and providing emerging creatives the opportunity to explore and refine their talent in the art of documentary films, feature films, scripted and unscripted television.

One9 made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed feature documentary ‘Nas: Time is Illmatic’ which premiered as the opening night event at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival and has since toured the film internationally.  Other notable projects include a documentary on Race in America with PBS called ‘The Talk’, Emmy nominated documentary film ‘L.A Burning: The Riots 25 Years Later’ with the late John Singleton, and a 6-part series with Jigsaw Production’s Alex Gibney and QuestLove called Hip Hop: Songs that Shook America for AMC Networks which was nominated for an International Documentary Association award for Best Episodic Series in 2021. 

Upcoming projects in 2023 include a feature length release of documentary film ‘Rather’. One9 Media Group is currently executive producing and directing ‘HUSSLE' (Nispey Hussle] series with Lebron James/SpringHill Company and Marathon Films.
