FOUNDER / EXECUTIVE PRODUCER / DIRECTOR

One9 is an Emmy-nominated executive producer, director, and artist known for his notable contributions to the film and documentary industry. He made his directorial debut with the highly acclaimed feature film 'Nas: Time is Illmatic' in 2014. The film premiered as the opening night selection at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival and received international recognition through various screenings worldwide. In 2017, One9 produced the PBS documentary 'The Talk,' which explored the topic of race in America. He also collaborated with the late John Singleton as a co-executive producer and director on the Emmy-nominated documentary film 'L.A Burning: The Riots 25 Years Later.' Additionally, One9 co-executive produced and directed a six-part series titled 'Songs that Shook America' in partnership with Jigsaw Productions and QuestLove. The series, which aired on AMC Networks, received a nomination for Best Episodic Series at the International Documentary Association Awards in 2021. Recently, One9 served as an executive producer for the Dan Rather documentary, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2023. He is also involved as an executive producer and director for an upcoming series about Nipsey Hussle in collaboration with the SpringHill company.

Chris Jenkins

PRODUCER / WRITER

Chris L. Jenkins is an award winning journalist and documentary film producer and writer. Over a 20-year career, he has told stories about social justice, identity and progressive culture, with a focus on race, class and equity.

Chris is the producer and writer of the award winning documentary, Trapped: Cash Bail in America streaming on YouTube Originals, and producer of the forthcoming film, Anthem (2022), executive produced by Ryan Coogler and Proximity Media for Disney. For nearly two decades, he was a reporter and editor at The Washington Post where he covered and led award winning journalism around politics, criminal justice, immigration, culture and race. He has also served as Managing Editor for The Root and producer and writer for ESPN's HBCU Football: Our Time special; the independent film Rikers: Innocence Lost; and story producer for the feature documentary, Van Jones: The First Step, which premiered at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival.

While at The Washington Post, Chris was the author of numerous award winning stories and productions, and was a core member of the paper's team that won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for its breaking news coverage of the Virginia Tech shooting massacre.

JONATHAN OLSON

PRODUCER

Jonathan Olson is Brooklyn based producer of both branded content and narrative films. He has nearly a decade of industry experience working for companies like Iconoclast, Anonymous Content, Smuggler, Dress Code, and many others. With a strong passion for narrative stories Jonathan has produced films that have been in competition at Cannes, Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW, and Palm Springs Shortsfest, among others. Most notably Jonathan produced the 92nd Academy Award Winner for Best Live Action Short Film - The Neighbors’ Window, directed by the acclaimed documentary filmmaker, Marshall Curry.

MACEO BISHOP

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

For over a decade, Maceo Bishop worked as a camera operator with many of the highest regarded directors and cinematographers of this era. Now, as a cinematographer himself, he is continuing to build relationships with visionary creators, bringing experience and genuine excitement to his new role.

Recent narrative work includes: The Watcher (Cinematographer), Uncut Gems (Africa Unit), The Goldfinch (2nd Unit), Y: The Last Man (2nd Unit), Escape at Dannemora (2nd Unit), Inventing Anna (Additional Photography).

Recent commercial work includes: Zegna, Mastercard, Zara Kids, Budweiser, Beats.

BRIAN SATZ

PRODUCER

Brian Satz is an Emmy-nominated producer and composer with over two decades of experience in film, music, and event production. Satz has worked on critically acclaimed and award-winning films including ‘Nas: Time Is Illmatic,’ ‘The Two Escobars’,  Viola Davis’s ‘The Last Defense’, ‘The Russian Winter’ and more. Brian was the co-executive producer of ‘Brooklyn Castle’, which won the Documentary Spotlight award at SXSW. 

Brian was the producer and co-executive producer of The Carmelo Anthony development documentary with Westbrook Studios in conjunction with Amazon Studios, co-produced the upcoming George Gervin “Iceman” documentary with Mandalay Sports Media, and a producer of the upcoming documentary ‘Following Harry’, about the social justice and artistic legacy of Mr. Harry Belafonte.  

Satz was an associate producer of the upcoming Nipsey Hussle series with The Springhill Company and ‘Rather’, the Dan Rather documentary that premiered at Tribeca in 2023. 

From 2013 until 2023, Brian worked as the Producer and Musical Director for Harry Belafonte, producing content spanning film, television, live performances, recording sessions and festivals. Satz has produced and performed with musical artists including Sting, Jay Z, Beyonce, Aloe Blacc, John Legend, Blitz 'The Ambassador' Bazawule, and many more.
